Mindfulness & Meditation for Kids and Their Parents
An 8 week Interactive Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation for Kids and their Parents (best suited for kids ages 5 - 8)

Learn Mindfulness and Meditation from the comfort of your home! Take the same class that children and parents in Los Angeles have had the privilege to enroll in and pay less.
In each of these weekly classes, children and parents will explore the fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation. Each week, we will build upon each class with new skills and activities. Together you and your child/children will go on a journey that will allow you and your child to learn how to live life in a new way! This way of life greatly reduces stress, alleviates anxiety, banishes fear, increases self awareness and enhances your ability to regulate emotions. We will also learn how to relax our bodies and quiet our minds.
Every class will include brand new mindfulness techniques to practice, breath work and breathing, a story that goes along with what we are learning, new ways to meditate and building connections with each other. There will be hands on activities as well as guided meditations. Children and parents are encouraged to practice what they've learned at home together in an effort to embed mindfulness and meditation into their daily lives.
At the end of this 8 week course, parents and children will learn how to:

I started Soul Centered Kids after doing research for my Masters in Education/Curriculum & Instruction. My thesis centered on how stress affects school-aged children. I was astounded to discover that children endure a tremendous amount of daily and accumulative stress. Additionally, their small bodies and developing brains are not equipped to handle the constant stressors that invade their everyday routines and existence.
Soul Centered Kids offers classes that specialize in mindfulness and meditation to help families learn how to deal with stress and to learn to listen to their inner wisdom. Every class is designed to provide a holistic approach to learning and are tailored to meet the unique needs, personalities and learning styles of each of my students. All of the classes at Soul Centered Kids are designed, developed and facilitated by me at various locations through out Los Angeles and online. I also make myself available to offer advice and guidance to my students, parents and enrichment centers on a regular basis as a consultant
I am the homeschooling mother of two boys, the founder of Soul Centered Solutions which incorporates five soul centered paths, one of which is Soul Centered Kids. The other four are: The Souls of Boys and Raising California Magazine, Transcendental Reiki and Black Cat Holistic Rescue.
